01 / WEBSITE PERFORMANCE

Your website looks fine to you. What does a guest experience?

You can check your website regularly and still miss problems a guest encounters. A first visit may load differently from yours. A room page may open normally but carry a setting that keeps it out of search. An enquiry form may look fine until someone tries to send it on a phone. You may not see where that guest got stuck.

Illustration: a repeat visit uses saved files; a first visit loads them.Your repeat visitA guest’s first visitSaved filesLoads files

Fast for you. Not necessarily for your next guest.

Your browser may already have saved your website’s images and files, making repeat visits feel quick. A first-time guest on a mobile connection has a different experience. While you see a familiar page, they may still be waiting to see whether your rooms are worth exploring.

In Sylvia’s words

“Working with Elani was easy. I didn’t understand every technical detail, but she explained what needed attention and why. We could see and feel the difference in our website afterwards. She also found broken links we hadn’t known about. She kept us informed throughout, and I feel we’re in good hands as we continue working together.”

03 / ONE FOCUSED SERVICE

Fix what’s slowing your website.Without starting over.

A speed test gives you a score. It doesn’t decide which changes are worthwhile, make them safely or check that guests can still use the site afterwards. That is the work you are paying me to do: a focused improvement project on your existing website, not another list of problems for you to solve.

Before I change anything.I check the existing site, confirm a backup and make sure there’s a practical way to undo a change.

I test like a guest. After the work, I check the priority pages on desktop and mobile, including navigation, enquiry forms and the route to booking.

Best fit: an existing website with worthwhile, safely fixable performance issues. WordPress and WooCommerce are normally suitable; other platforms are assessed individually. Not a redesign, full SEO campaign or booking-engine rebuild.
WEBSITE PERFORMANCE FIX

£495one-off project

50% to book · 50% on completion

You approve the exact work in a written Performance Plan. This is a non-binding enquiry; payment arrangements are confirmed only after invoicing, tax and payment setup are verified.

  • Know what needs attention.Assessment of up to five priority page types, with the exact fixes agreed in your written Performance Plan.
  • Have the worthwhile fixes done for you.Image loading, caching and heavy CSS or JavaScript improved where needed and agreed. Public crawl and indexing barriers checked.
  • See what changed – and what didn’t.Key forms and links checked, agreed broken website links fixed, and a report comparing the agreed pages before and after the work, including relevant limitations.
  • Get a follow-up, not a subscription.A public performance check approximately 30 days later. Further work is discussed separately; monthly care is optional.
The commitment is to the agreed work.

If an agreed item is incomplete, I continue without an additional labour charge where it remains technically possible and within my control. This is not a guarantee of a score, ranking or booking increase.

What's not included?

Redesigns, new pages, ongoing SEO, hosting migrations, major development, paid licences and booking-system development are quoted separately. Specific speed scores, rankings or increases in bookings are not guaranteed.

Hello, I’m Elani.

Practical improvements.
Clear explanations.

I’ve designed websites for hotels and lodges and worked on booking and reservation software. This service focuses on the performance of your existing website.

You’ll work directly with me, from the initial assessment to the report and 30-day follow-up. I’ll explain what I find, agree on the work and keep you informed.

07 / GOOD QUESTIONS

BeforeI get started.

What do I get in the free website check?

For a suitable site, I review up to five representative public pages, fewer if sufficient. If I find no worthwhile paid work, I’ll send a short, honest check. If there is work I can responsibly quote, I’ll send one concise findings-and-proposal document explaining what I found and the proposed next step. That may be a smaller quote, a qualified £495 fix or separately scoped larger work. This is not a complete audit or a promise to fix every checked page.

Do you need my website login?

Not for the free check. If you approve a Performance Plan, I’ll explain the access needed for the agreed work. Please create a separate temporary Theisinger account rather than sharing your own administrator password. You may remove that account when the project is complete; the public 30-day check needs no ongoing administrator access.

Will you change how my website looks?

The focus is speed and technical performance within your existing design. Any change that affects appearance or functionality will be discussed before I make it. New pages and redesigns are separate projects.

Will you change my booking system?

No. I check important website links and forms, but changing or replacing your booking software is not part of the £495 fix. If it appears to be causing a problem, I’ll explain what I found before suggesting any separate work.

Can you guarantee a perfect speed score?

No. Hosting, third-party tools and booking integrations can affect performance. I’ll explain these limits and document the improvements made, without promising a particular score or booking outcome.

How long does the work take?

Normally within 7 business days after the agreed scope, initial payment and required access are received.

Do I have to sign up for monthly care?

No. The performance project stands alone, and a suitable site can ask about care directly. Planned £149 care requires verified backup, recovery, privacy and billing setup before any paid coverage begins.

Need something more?

I also help with:

  • New pages and landing-page design
  • Full website design and redesign
  • Search engine optimisation (SEO)
  • Content and technical improvements for AI search visibility

Additional projects are scoped and quoted separately.

LET’S START WITH YOUR WEBSITE

Let’s improveyour website.

For a suitable site I review up to five representative public pages, fewer where sufficient. If no paid work is worthwhile, I’ll email a short, honest check. If there is work I can responsibly quote, I’ll email one concise findings-and-proposal document. That may propose a smaller repair, the qualified £495 fix or separately scoped larger work. Your details go directly to Elani to respond to your request. .

YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy

Elani Theisinger runs Theisinger. For questions about your information, use the form on this page. I’ll reply to the email address you provide.

The enquiry form sends your selected enquiry type, name, email address, any website address you provide and your message, if given, to Elani’s email inbox. These details are used to respond to your request, carry out a free website check if requested and discuss any work you choose to take forward. Please do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information.

Enquiry handling is necessary to respond to your request and take steps towards providing a service. Basic security processing helps protect the website from abuse. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

Correspondence is kept while handling your enquiry and any resulting work, and where needed for business records or legal obligations. Contact Elani if you would like to ask about retention, access, correction or deletion of your information. You can also raise concerns with your local data-protection authority.

The website does not keep a separate database of enquiry contents. Email and hosting providers process messages and operational logs to deliver and protect the service. The form keeps limited anti-spam counters and submission references outside the public website; these contain no enquiry text or plain-text email addresses.

The feedback page linked in the footer collects your name, company, optional role, email, rating, answers and testimonial choices. It sends these to Elani and keeps a private record outside the public website so she can learn from feedback and respect your publication choice. Feedback is never published automatically.

Website Performance Fix

Clear scope. No surprises.

The £495 Website Performance Fix is a qualified, scoped one-off project for independent hotels and lodges with an existing website. Enquiries and free checks are non-binding. This draft describes proposed paid terms; payment and care activation are not available until safe delivery, invoicing and payment arrangements are verified and agreed.

The exact work is agreed in writing before the project begins, so you know what will be worked on, what it costs and what happens next.

Websites I work with

WordPress and WooCommerce websites are normally suitable for the standard service.

Joomla, custom-coded websites and other platforms may also qualify where I can safely make meaningful improvements within the scope of the service.

Complex custom applications, proprietary systems and websites requiring substantial development will be assessed separately.

If your website isn't a good fit, I'll tell you before you spend anything.

Free public review and proposal

For a suitable enquiry, I review up to five representative public pages around the main guest journey, fewer where sufficient. This is not a full-site or source-level audit, a fixed findings quota, or a test of inbox delivery, security or backup recovery. Larger or complex sites need separate consideration. I use one cumulative evidence record and, where a worthwhile repair can be scoped, one concise findings-and-proposal document with verified coverage, affected amounts and locations, guest consequences, exact proposed work, exclusions, price, timing and how completion will be checked.

I may recommend no action, a separately quoted smaller repair, a qualified £495 project, or separately scoped larger or uncertain work. I resolve material uncertainty before asking for a repair deposit; any additional authorized investigation needs its own prior agreement. Checked pages do not create an unlimited entitlement to repairs. You approve the identified written proposal by email before any paid work; submitting an enquiry does not approve a project.

What I assess

The project focuses on up to five priority page types, selected around the parts of your website that matter most to guests.

These will normally include:

Where useful analytics are available, they may be used to help identify the priority pages.

What may be included

The exact work depends on verified findings and is listed in the written findings-and-proposal document (Performance Plan) before approval. Confirmation of the implementation baseline reuses that evidence; it is not a second mandatory sales report.

Where appropriate, this may include:

Website performance

Website health

WordPress/WooCommerce

Guest journeys

Public inspection can identify visible form obstacles but cannot prove inbox delivery. Any controlled live submission or access-based verification needs authorization; a success message alone does not establish delivery. Public crawl checks identify inspectable barriers, not actual Google inclusion or rankings.

Only the items listed in your agreed Performance Plan form part of your project.

What isn't included

The £495 Website Performance Fix does not include:

If I discover a significant new problem, I explain its evidence and urgency promptly and pause affected work where necessary. I do not silently repair or bill for extras, or wait until the final report to disclose it. I check whether a new request overlaps agreed work first; any genuinely different work, changed price or timing needs your approval. Underestimated labour for feasible agreed work remains my responsibility. You can decline independent optional extras without stopping agreed work.

Timing

Projects are normally completed within 7 business days after:

If an unexpected issue or missing client input affects the timeline, I'll explain the dependency and revised timing. The stated period is not an unconditional deadline.

Website access

After your Performance Plan is approved and the initial payment is received, I'll explain what temporary access the agreed work requires. Please create a separate account for Theisinger rather than sharing your own administrator password. I'll request access to hosting, a CDN or another system only when the agreed work needs it.

Payment

The project fee is £495.

The proposed split is 50% (£247.50) to book after written proposal approval and 50% (£247.50) after agreed work and report. These are draft commercial terms, not a request for payment: no deposit or subscription is being taken through this page while invoicing, tax treatment and payment setup remain unverified.

Under the proposed split, the final £247.50 falls due only after agreed work is completed and the before-and-after report is delivered, subject to the incomplete-work and settlement terms below.

Any additional work requires separate approval before it is charged.

What counts as completion

The project is complete when the work listed in the agreed Performance Plan has been carried out and the final report has been delivered.

Website performance can be affected by hosting, third-party services, booking systems, visitor devices and other factors outside my control.

For that reason, I do not guarantee:

If an agreed item hasn't been completed, I'll continue working on that item at no additional labour charge where completing it remains technically possible and within my control. If it cannot be completed, I explain what was delivered and tested, what remains and why. A reduced fee is proposed only for independently useful agreed results, subject to written settlement; payments above it are refunded and undelivered work is not charged. If the main project purpose fails without a separately useful result, project payments are refunded. Deposit retention is not automatic, and attempted hours or fix counts do not determine value. I hold disputed balances pending written resolution and issue an agreed refund within 10 business days of settlement, or sooner where legally required. Applicable rights remain unaffected.

What you receive

At completion you'll receive a clear report showing:

30-day follow-up

Your Website Performance Fix includes a public follow-up performance check approximately 30 days after completion.

I'll retest the agreed priority pages to check that the improvements remain broadly stable and look for significant performance regressions.

No ongoing administrator access is required. Once your project is complete, you may remove Theisinger's temporary website access.

The 30-day follow-up is a check rather than a second optimization project. If I identify something that needs further investigation or work, I'll explain what I've found before anything else is undertaken.

If an agreed item from the original project has failed, I'll review it under the original project commitment where it remains technically possible and within my control. New issues caused by subsequent changes, updates, content or third-party services are outside the original project scope.

Cancellation and missing input

You may cancel a one-off project by email. Before work starts, I refund payments except non-recoverable third-party costs you explicitly approved beforehand; there is no ordinary scheduling or free-proposal cancellation charge. Once work starts, I stop safely, hand over completed and tested work and the unfinished state, and propose a fair final charge for useful agreed results, never automatically forfeiting the deposit or charging for unfinished work. Without separately approved additions, the charge cannot exceed the agreed project price. Written settlement, disputed-balance and refund timing follow the completion terms above.

If access, content or decisions are missing, I explain the precise dependency, pause affected work and its timetable, and send a reminder. After 30 calendar days blocked by missing input, I send a final written notice allowing seven calendar days to respond before administrative closure, unless an extension is agreed. Silence is not consent or automatic forfeiture. At closure I provide status, safe handover and a separate proposed financial settlement. Restart needs a newly agreed slot; material site or requirement changes may need a separately approved quote, but a short pause carries no automatic fee. If access ends before safety checks, I disclose what remains unverified.

Optional Website Care

Keep things healthy.

Planned Website Care is £149 per paid billing month for a suitable website, including direct entry without buying the £495 project. I check existing provider coverage, access, backup and recovery suitability first. Substantial initial repairs or setup are separately quoted, not charged to an assumed future subscription. Care coverage is a draft, subject to verifying backup capability, tool costs, privacy, restoration and safe setup; enquiries are non-binding and no paid care begins through this page.

Planned maintenance and checks

For a suitable brochure WordPress site, the proposed routine is weekly update review/application with rollback and post-update checks, weekly priority-journey link checks, prompt assessment of relevant critical security alerts within support arrangements, and a monthly broader review, authorized controlled form-delivery test and plain-English summary. Planned backup coverage is daily recoverable files and database copies in protected independent storage, a fresh pre-change backup, failure alerts, approximately 30 days' retention and initial plus quarterly isolated restore tests. These frequencies and storage arrangements require site-specific verification before acceptance; active booking or order systems may need separately scoped, shorter recovery intervals. External booking systems and email are not automatically covered.

Monitoring is not a 24/7 human response or a guarantee that every issue will be detected or resolved immediately. Email is the client support record; normal hours are Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00 Europe/Lisbon, with a target first human acknowledgement and assessment within one business day, not a repair deadline. There is no standing weekend or telephone support. Discretionary out-of-hours work and any charge need advance agreement; correcting my own mistakes is not surcharged. I give advance notice of planned absence and explain actual human cover rather than treating an automated alert as cover.

Recovery and privacy

Rollback or correction needed because of my own updates is included without an extra charge or discount use. Subject to a clean available backup and tested feasibility, the proposed care scope includes one straightforward accidental-deletion restoration to existing hosting per paid billing month, with no rollover. I explain possible overwrite or data loss and seek approval before restoration. Hosting-outage assessment and provider liaison are within support arrangements; migration, reconstruction, complex recovery and hacked-site cleanup require a separate agreed quote. Backup restoration alone does not establish that a hacked site is clean.

Backups may contain customer records. Before accepting custody I agree storage, restricted access, retention, transfer and secure deletion arrangements; I do not put sensitive records into AI tools or uncontrolled test sites. Restore tests must isolate live mail, payments and integrations. A working backup and recovery route is a condition of care acceptance, not a capability already established by this draft.

Additional work discount

Care includes no small-task allowance or monthly repair credit. During each paid billing month, you may elect 10% off eligible labour on one newly approved additional website project, up to £100 saving. Eligible work includes the qualified £495 fix, separately agreed repairs or improvements, and safely scoped cleanup where suitable. The discount is applied once to the agreed project's eligible labour, not again to instalments or later delivery months. It excludes care fees, external costs and previously approved projects; it cannot be stacked with another discount, carried forward or applied retrospectively. The accepted project price stays fixed if care later ends. Hacked-site cleanup is never included in monthly care; complex incidents may need specialist referral.

Billing, cancellation and handover

If setup and lawful invoicing/payment are verified, care would be billed monthly in advance from an agreed start date after any setup lead time is explained. You may cancel by email before the next renewal. Service continues through the paid period, with no cancellation fee or additional notice month; voluntary cancellation does not ordinarily produce a partial-month refund while agreed service remains available. Provider non-delivery and applicable rights are separate. Accepted additional-project prices remain unchanged. Any increase for an existing client needs at least 30 calendar days' written notice and applies only at a renewal after that period; you may cancel before it takes effect.

Ordinary handover includes last maintenance, outstanding concerns, the stop date for monitoring and checks, and secure access to an available final backup for you or an authorized replacement provider. Provider-owned tool or licence expiry is explained without unexpectedly disabling essential site functionality. Care access ends with service; a separate approved project may need separately agreed access. Cancellation does not terminate your site or separately supplied hosting. Migration and substantial replacement-provider assistance are separately quoted. The intended collection window for an existing final backup is 30 days after care ends, then deletion under an agreed retention policy; this does not extend backup jobs, monitoring or free restoration. The collection and deletion mechanics must be verified before promising this arrangement for a specific site, and legally required business records may be retained.

Website Care clients may keep a dedicated Theisinger account for the separately agreed ongoing service. Access for Website Care is managed independently of the one-off Website Performance Fix.

Website Care is entirely optional. You do not need to subscribe to it to purchase the Website Performance Fix.
